From the ‘Mental Health Foundation’
We are so thankful for all the support we have received from all our followers for Mental Health Day. However, mental health awareness is not just for one day a year. November marks Men’s Mental Health Month and with suicide being the biggest killer in men under 45, we wanted to do something to raise awareness for this issue.
Something as simple as hosting a curry night, or organising a fundraising event at a local restaurant, can be all it takes to start a conversation around mental health. Similarly to a ‘Tea & Talk’, you can ask people to donate to attend the evening, hold a raffle or donate online.
Men make up three quarters of all suicides in the UK
By holding a Curry & Chaat night, you can help reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and raise money for research into mental health.
And if you need any further help in organising an event you can always email: events@mentalhealth.org.ukĀ if you have any questions.
