THE MIGRAINE TRUST: THE VOICES OF PEOPLE AFFECTED BY MIGRAINE

From the ‘Migraine Trust’

The Migraine Trust exists to make life easier for people with Migraine. We want every person with migraine to get the support and treatment they deserve. Ultimately, we want to find a cure so that nobody has to experience this painful condition.

We know that none of this is going to happen without people with migraine being closely involved at every step of the way. That’s what The Migraine Trust’s Volunteer Forum is for.

It’s an opportunity for people affected by migraine to have a crucial voice within our charity and it’s an unmissable chance for us to hear first-hand from the migraine community about the issues that affect them.

Members of the forum volunteer their time and skills, acting as a resource pool and critical friend to The Migraine Trust by keeping the charity informed of the views and needs of people affected by migraine. The Volunteer Forum is open to anyone with migraine or a carer of someone with migraine.

From Katie who bravely shared her story in Migraine News, to Emma who playing leading roles on our scientific committee and PhD selection committee, The Migraine Trust’s brilliant Volunteer Forum is at the heart of everything we do.

You can make sure people with migraine have a voice

In our five-year strategy, we’ve laid out an ambitious plan to grow membership of the Volunteer Forum from 80 to 300. We’re a small charity that punches above its weight, but this is a big target – even for us!

With more members of our forum, we can ensure our work is informed by an even more powerful voice of people affected by migraine.
