Did you know that World Vegan Day was created to mark the 50th anniversary of the society?
The first World Vegan Day was held on 1 November 1994. This was later extended to become World Vegan Week and, as we now know it, World Vegan Month.
Every November, World Vegan Month is celebrated around the world as a time to shine a light on the vegan movement.
Over the course of the past 78 years, The Vegan Society has gone from strength to strength. What started as our founding member’s vision in 1944 has grown rapidly to meet the demands of the ever-increasing vegan community.
The Vegan Society has teamed up with @romylondonuk for an exclusive World Vegan Month competition, to win Romy’s Vegan Roasts book. The book features over 60 recipes, including pot roasts, Wellingtons, meatloaves and more. *closes 4.11.22
