General Overview:

 The Great British Sewing Bee is casting for it’s an eleventh series and we are
looking for the next collection of sewers to enter the sewing room.

 The Series is judged by Patrick Grant and Esme Young and is presented by
Kiell Smith-Bynoe.

 Applications are open to everyone although you must be 18 or over on the 1 st
January 2024 and you must be an UK resident (including Isle of Man and Channel
Islands). Full Rules of Entry can be found at www.applyforsewingbee.co.uk.
What does Sewing Bee look for in an applicant?

 Top of the list is a love and passion for sewing and creating clothes.

 You need to have experience making different types of garments and the
challenges can involve making womenswear, menswear and childrenswear.

It’s absolutely ok to have not tried to make every type of garment and every
technique. There is always time to practice through the process and everyone
has their own strengths and weaknesses as well as things they enjoy making
the most.

Tips for filling out an application:

 Include as much information about you and your sewing in the application as
possible! We want to get a sense of who you are and what type of sewer you
are as well as what you have made before.

 Include as many photos as you can, they are a great way to show off your
makes and visually photos are always great to look at!
When is the deadline?

 The closing date for applications is 8pm on Wednesday 15 th May 2024. We
encourage people not to leave applying until the closing date!

What’s next after applying?

 If an applicant has been successful to the next stage they will contacted by a
member of the production team. If an applicant has not heard from us by
Friday 28th June 2024, then unfortunately the application has not been
successful on this occasion.

 We have had lots of people make it to the sewing room and it wasn’t their first
time applying so you never know if this year is your year!
