DAME HELEN GHOSH OF THE NATIONAL TRUST TALKS TO DISABILITY TALK

Dame Helen Ghosh is the Director General of The National Trust. She moved into that position in late 2012 where her interest in history, people and places, and her commitment to the environment came together.

Since joining the Trust. Helen has overseen an ambitious programme of work, including leading the development of its 10 year strategy, ‘Playing our Part’, and committing £2 million a week to the conservation of our landscapes, houses and coastline.

But is The National Trust ‘open’ to all? Dame Helen assures us that it is. Here are her thoughts:-

“We at the National Trust are committed to enabling increased access to our historic buildings and countryside environments, and to developing and promoting inclusive access solutions that are creative and sensitive to the surroundings. We are committed to developing and promoting equality of opportunity and inclusion in all that we do.”
