MORE DISABLED BY 2047

About 1.5 million men and 2.1 million women over 65 will be physically disabled by 2047, according to a study in BMJ Open. 

Caroline Abrahams of AGE CONCERN, said that the population was ageing and infrastructure needed to adapt. “There are big implications for contemporary life, including town planning, transport and housing, as well as health and care,” she said.
