‘Exceptional Individuals’ is a social enterprise organisation that offers free support and workshops to people with neurodiversity (Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Autism and ADHD).
They are open to anyone in the UK that has, suspects, or resonates with Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Autism and ADHD. All their support is free to their community.
For employers they work with schools, colleges, universities, youth centres, dyslexia charities and organisations to find the best dyslexic talent. They will assist in signing you up to Incluzy, the inclusive job boards. Their aim is to find hidden talent and broaden the number of candidates available to choose from.
They assist employers in having a workplace needs assessment and they can provide them with the equipment and support to excel above and beyond expectations. Their unique training programme will give employers all the right tools to give dyslexic employees the opportunities to flourish in the work place.
FACTS ABOUT DYSLEXIA
*There are 6.3 million dyslexics in the UK.
*That’s 10% of the population.
*40% currently unemployed are thought to have dyslexia.
‘Exceptional Individuals’ believe our economy is missing out on a valuable asset. They think that current employment practices exclude many dyslexic people despite their proven ability.
They also understand that entry into the job market can be a daunting task for applicants with dyslexia and they offer to help them overcome key barriers, and work with business to create more inclusive workplaces.
