Tea & Talk is the ‘Mental Health Foundation’s’ flagship fundraiser and marks World Mental Health Day on 10th October.
Since its conception in 2009, Tea & Talk has had thousands of sign ups and raised over £150,000 for the Mental Health Foundation.
In May, their Mental Health Awareness Week, Report found that almost three-quarters of us have, at some point felt, so stressed that we felt overwhelmed or unable to cope.
They feel that talking to others and building relationships is a simple way eliminate stress and to boost your own mental health and of those around you. The MHF wants all of us to get the conversation flowing by holding a ‘Tea & Talk’ this World Mental Health Day.

Fundraising is essential to virtually all charities and holding a ‘Tea & Talk’ can raise donations which makes a difference to educating young people about mental health.
50% of mental health problems are established by the age of 14 and three students in every classroom are likely to be experiencing a mental health problem.
Mark Rowland – Director of Fundraising and Communications
The MHF does important work in schools through their ‘Peer Education Project’ which aims to give young people the skills and knowledge they need to safeguard both their own mental health and that of their peers.
