LET’S SCRAP PRESCRIPTION CHARGES FOR LONG TERM-CONDITIONS

Sounds reasonable doesn’t it? But after accumulating a huge petition, handing it in to No.10 Downing Street, lobbying MPs and mounting a tremendous campaign what does the Health Minister have to say. “The Government has no plans for a review of prescription charges in England.”

And the estimated bill for HS2 is £56bn and rising!

The Prescription Charges Coalition has stated that they are disappointed by the Minister’s response ‘to say the least’.

But campaigns often suffer setbacks and there is a real need to keep the momentum going for this most worthy of causes.

Matina stresses that the campaign does not end with the petition. They again reach out to their ‘amazing’ supporters to ‘keep the scrapping of prescription charges for long-term conditions’ on the Government’s agenda.
