YOUNG MINDS: ‘DON’T LET THE GOVERNMENT FORGET’

From the ‘YoungMinds’ charity

DON’T LET THE GOVERNMENT FORGET

Nearly 13,000 people have taken action for young people’s mental health since ‘YoungMinds’ launched the Beyond Tomorrow Campaign.

‘YoungMinds’ has had some campaign success – the Government has promised extra money for mental health charities and some wellbeing support for students when they return to school. But this is not enough.

Sign their petition to call on the Government to look #BeyondTomorrow and limit the long-term impact of the pandemic on young people’s mental health.

In a recent survey 80% of young people said the pandemic has made their mental health worse and 87% agreed they felt lonely or isolated during lockdown.

31% said they have lost their mental health support but still need it.

As lockdown eases with schools, colleges and universities planning to go back, ‘YoungMinds’ feels that all of us must make sure the Government is listening. More support is needed to prevent the long-term impact of the pandemic on young people’s mental health.

Please take action now. Add your voice to the petition.

The more voices that are heard, the harder it will be to ignore young people’s mental health.
