“Step-free access means freedom” .. Kathy, Ipswich
Have you discovered how accessible your region is yet?
With 41% of stations in Britain having no step-free access, it’s more important than ever to raise awareness of inaccessible rail. Last time we spoke, I told you about a new tool which reveals how well your region is performing. And how much it would cost for stations in your region to become step-free.
I WANT TO #GetOnBoard – SHOW ME MY STATS!
“A totally step-free journey would make a big difference for disabled passengers. Having step-free access means freedom.” Kathy, Ipswich
Everyone should be able to travel freely. But at the current rate of improvement, stations in Britain won’t be fully step-free until 2070 – this is much too long to wait. You can use our new tool to find out how much it would cost to make all stations in your area accessible by 2030!
Once you’ve discovered your region’s stats, why not help spread the word about accessible rail by sending this link to your friends and family? Or by sharing on Facebook and Twitter.
