Wheelchair protesters block house of commons entrance

Furious protesters in wheelchairs have blocked the MPs’ entrance to the House of Commons over cuts to benefits.

Campaign group Disabled People Against Cuts chanted “no justice, no peace” and “Tories out” as MPs tried to leave the final ‘Prime Ministers Question Time’ before the summer break.

Police formed a line at the entrance to the Member’s Lobby as some of the demonstrators demanded to talk to MPs. The group were protesting against cuts to social care and demanded the reintroduction of the ‘Independent Living Fund’.
