By ‘Elin Williams’ .. her new post on ‘My Blurred Vision’
“And just like that, we reach the end of another year; 2019 is nearly over and 12 months of hard work, goal setting, new experiences and the occasional meltdown has amounted to another inevitable round-up post and, as we’ll all state in every conversation we have up until the beginning of the new year, I can’t believe we’re at this point again.”

“And not only that, but we’re at the end of a decade (apologies for stating the obvious), but I can’t begin to fathom what’s changed in that time. Don’t worry, I’m not about to give you a rundown of the last 10 years but it’s crazy to think that I started the decade in my first year of secondary school, on the verge of being registered blind – and I’m now in my second year of my degree with The Open University, writing this blog and feeling quite overwhelmed but equally proud of the changes I’ve made and the journeys I’ve embarked upon since the beginning of 2010.”
“My blog has been a little frozen over the past few months and nothing seemed to be able to melt the lack of inspiration away, but I had to ensure that I engaged in another yearly review because I think it helps to have some of the memories documented on here. Like a lot of people, it’s not often that I that I take the time to sit and reflect on what I’ve achieved or overcome but crafting these kinds of posts makes for the perfect excuse to do just that.
I don’t have a particular structure in mind for this post so I’m just going to see where the words take me as we look back at what 2019 has entailed and, as always, I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoy writing it.”
