Lead singer of Holy Moly & The Crackers, Ruth Lyon, is a good friend of this website; contributing articles and being a judge in one of our competitions.

Last year, Ruth Patterson’s band Holy Moly and the Crackers tried to book a tour of the UK.

But one venue wrote back, refusing to host them because Patterson, who has arthritis and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, uses a wheelchair.

“They said they wouldn’t book us because I was a fire hazard,” she says. “That’s absolutely horrendous.”

Well, this is it! The last of a long goodbye.

We have 4 more UK shows before we take our break from the road. And, they’re all SOLD OUT! Thank you for letting us go out on a high.  We will never be able to thank you enough for the love, the support and encouragement you have given to us. It has been the experience of our lives. We’ll be back with new records and new memories to make, but for now, let’s get sweaty for the last waltz. We can’t wait!

“Don’t think we’re disappearing altogether – keep an eye out on our solo projects. And to kick off, our lead singer, Ruth is playing a couple of solo shows THIS weekend. She’s just finished up recording her debut album and will be playing new songs. It’s going to be a beautiful thing and we’d love it if you came to join us (we’ll be at the bar).”
